Heather is a Clinically Licensed Social Worker who has more than ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families within schools, assistance agencies, and in private practice. It is her passion to meet client's where they are at right now and help them process past/present distressing life circumstances and emotions. Heather strives to help each client heal their emotional injuries so they can live their happiest and healthiest life.
Heather builds strong connections with clients through compassion, empathy, and a genuine concern for their well-being. Heather is known for being direct with her clients and actively engaged with them each session. With an eclectic approach, she can help clients develop and utilize new skills to reclaim peace and stability in their lives. She values families and will share communication and parenting skills with caregivers to promote youth's development of problem solving skills, healthy coping techniques, and improved communication. Heather is specialty trained in the areas of Anxiety, Life-Transition related issues, Relational Difficulties, and Trauma.
She provides mental health counseling in person at the Manhattan location and via Telehealth services.
