Mavany is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Before becoming a Therapist, Mavany was a Registered Behavior Technician, working with children living with intellectual disabilities, such as, Autism and/or Down Syndrome. For the past year, Mavany has worked with teens, college-students, and adults in navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life-transitions.

Mavany’s goal as a therapist is to ensure her clients feel heard and validated while overcoming life’s challenges. She is passionate in teaching her clients sustainable coping strategies to help them live a fulfilling life with healthy relationships.

Mavany believes therapy is a team effort between the client and therapist. This emphasizes her belief that client’s are the “experts” in their own life and feels strongly about helping them to meet their personally set goals.

Mavany utilizes a tailored approach for therapy, incorporating a variety of techniques in order to meet each individual client's needs and desires. These strategies are (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based, and Solution-Focused strategies.
