Mavany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) who provides therapy for teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She has developed a strong passion for supporting college-aged individuals experiencing stress related to relationships, academic pressures, and the process of self-discovery.
Mavany strives to help clients establish healthy boundaries, communicate more effectively, and navigate their struggles to create a more balanced and fulfilling life. Her work is rooted in trauma-focused approaches, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and attachment-based therapies.
Her goal as a therapist is to help clients feel understood and empowered with practical coping strategies to overcome life’s challenges. She views therapy as a collaborative process, emphasizing that clients are the experts of their own lives and supporting them in reaching their personally defined goals.
Mavany received her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Clinical Social Work from Fort Hays State University. Before becoming a therapist, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting children with intellectual disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome.
Mavany serves the Manhattan area and provides Telehealth services throughout Kansas.
