Melissa Petesch is a Licensed Master Social Worker who enjoys helping adults and children rise above the challenges and barriers preventing them from living a fulfilling values driven life. She practices Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helping clients to unhook from the unhelpful thoughts that are pulling them away from being their true self. Melissa has over 9 years of experience as a social worker including assisting adoptive families, working with teens and young adults who have been in the foster care system, and working with students and educators in the school setting. She has experience in behavior management in schools where she used CBT, solution focused, and play therapy techniques to help students with significant behavioral challenges overcome barriers and thrive in the school setting. Melissa is also passionate about using and teaching positive parenting techniques to help parents find their calm amongst the chaos, and grow and foster loving parent child relationships.
