“Every struggle in your life has shaped you into the person you are today. Be thankful for hard times, they can only make you stronger.” - Keanu Reeves
Michael Frint is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting. Michael believes people know themselves best, but sometimes need assistance to see different ways of viewing their situations and life goals. This can be done through self-reflecting and calling upon each person’s strengths.
Depending on each person’s needs, Michael believes in teaching mindfulness/meditation strategies, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, role playing and art therapy. He has extensive experience working with people who have anxiety, school related issues, grief/depression, teaching/practicing coping skills, anger and emotional regulation issues. Also, can help with interest inventories when thinking about vocations and future employment.
Meeting the client where they are emotionally is Michael’s #1 goal but will always push towards a growth mindset with everyone he works with.
Michael currently sees clients in Manhattan and via Telehealth.
