Rhea Barrett is a Licensed Specialized Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working with children and families, as well as young adults and couples. Rhea provides both telehealth and/or office-based services. Clients from Junction City, Fort Riley, Manhattan, and other surrounding areas will be welcomed as scheduling allows. If interested in telehealth services, Rhea can work with anyone in the state of Kansas.
Rhea has 11 years of experience working in the school system, advocating and providing direct services for children and their families with special needs and emotional/behavioral issues. She also has a certificate in Play Therapy which is a method frequently used to help children express their feelings and emotions.
Rhea enjoys working one-on-one with the children and incorporating the family through-out the process to help foster success for all. Rhea also works with young adults that are having difficulties with life transitions, adjustment issues, anxiety, and/or relational issues in personal and/or professional settings. She is open to working with couples via Couples Therapy. Rhea's focus is in developing coping strategies, communication styles, appropriate emotional releases, and building positive relationships.
Rhea is passionate about helping children and adults discover their story and find that sense of belonging no matter what setting they are in.
Rhea is open to working with school-aged children and their families, as well as young adults and couples. Rhea uses mindfulness techniques and play therapy, as well as strength based and solution focused therapies.
